A Willo alternative for small US employers
Prices read from each vendor's public pricing page on 1 Nov 2026.
Willo Lite and ApplyReel both charge per role instead of per month. The differences are price, currency, and what comes around the interview.
The same pricing idea, different terms
Willo Lite is 49 GBP per live role with no contract, up to 5 live roles, up to 5 users and 150 assessed candidates per live role. ApplyReel is 39 USD for one live role for 30 days with up to 150 candidate interviews. The two prices are in different currencies and we do not convert them.
Check how long a role stays live
Willo's page says you pay only for the live roles you use each month. If a role runs for several months, work out what that adds up to. An ApplyReel role is one 39 USD purchase for 30 days, and nothing renews.
Where Willo may fit better
Willo lists add-on identity, right to work and background checks, and an Enterprise plan with 12+ months of data retention. If you need those, or you run several roles at once under one account with several users, Willo is built for that. ApplyReel has none of these. It covers one first screen: candidates answer in their phone browser, you review, comment and shortlist.
Where ApplyReel fits
A restaurant, shop or home service business that hires a few times a year, wants to pay in US dollars, and wants a first screen that a person reviews. ApplyReel does not score applicants and has no ATS integrations. It is new, and Willo is an established option you can evaluate now.
